The most important starting point of Goth was the sounds and images of Bauhaus, with “Bela Lugosi’s Dead” released in 1979 as the hallmark of the macabre and somber tone and lyrical references to the undead for Goth. In the 80s, the look and style of the Cure and Alien Sex Fiend were also linked to the origins of Goth.
